Tara Heckman is a talented artist inspired by her passion for the western lifestyle, her and her husbands ranch in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains and performance horse competition, specifically Cow Horses. Tara’s Artwork is a dynamic portrayal capturing horse and rider in motion, using fluid lines and vibrant splashes of color. The energy and motion are emphasized by the abstract style, creating a sense of speed and agility often seen in cow horse competition. Tara has been a full time artist since 2022, honing her style and growing as an artist over the years.
Tara does a very limited amount of commission work each year, leaving her open to create original works that come straight from what inspires her. You can find a wide range of art pieces, from vibrant and dynamic equine art to simplified black and white shadow art.
Her designs can be purchased as originals, prints, or on apparel. Tara often holds Facebook auctions on her artwork, allowing for the market to drive her price point rather than lofty art museums and giving her customers the chance to have direct interaction with her as the artist.
