Balance Is Not Real Life
Are you like me and find that balance is just not possible? You know how to find peace with that? Just simply don’t stress about it.

Helpful huh?Let’s break that down a bit though. First make sure that whatever you are doing fits the goals you have for you, your family, and work. If it doesn’t - say no! For me it’s been making sure that no matter where either business takes me during this busy season that I’m still present with my family. That looks like breakfast, school, and Bible study each morning with Payden and at least one special thing each week where I’m focused on only him and fun! This last week has been a lot of fun dad time too since we have the skid steer here and are spring cleaning pens. Ya know cause why wouldn’t we put a major project in the busiest month?
For the month of April we’ve had cowhorse clinics every weekend and the biggest one yet to come. This takes a lot of organizing and farm prep on top of regular business. So far I am not regretting setting them up like this. It gave me a whole month where we all just knew our jobs. Weekends in the saddle and weekdays for resetting it all.
Now what did get sacrificed some? My Ranch Wear Business! Yes, orders and shipping are still all rolling in and out, but am I missing some marketing opportunities? For sure! I’ll tell myself on a Tuesday night that tomorrow I’m going to take tutorial videos for spring, I’m gonna show them the new tees, or I need to create an email with the new videos…. Yeah right! Lol! I realized pretty quick that I best delegate what I can to the girls who work for me and just make sure I don’t get behind. Ahead is off the table but not falling behind I can do.
So if you’re in a busy season like I am say no to what doesn’t look right for you and your family and know in some ways you’re gonna move forward and just try not to go backwards in other areas. Be prepared for May cause I’ll be back with videos full force! 
P.S. I hired one of my girls to clean my house this weekend so I could give lessons and meet with the vet and farrier. Best decision ever! What’s that great quote? “Do what you do best & hire the rest!”
